Trending the Union Jack

Hello everyone! I have been a busy B for the last week or so catching up on last minute work before we leave on our VACATION! Yay!

On today's post I will be displaying one of my somewhat newer obsessions (over the last couple years), the Union Jack. My UK born hubby couldn't be more thrilled about bringing this element into our next home. Here are some great ideas for styling and decorating with this fabulous trend.

What's a trend obsession of yours? I would love to hear about it!

For the Love of Grey!

I am so in love with all things grey. It's the new black brown in my case since that was my finish of choice prior to the grey phenomenon. Here are some 'to die for' images from my inspiration folder. Hope you like them!

Today's Feature : Small Shop Studio

Back at it from the weekend.....

Last week I posted this lovely little vignette with peonies and a Tom Ford book in it and later had the chance to go back and peruse more of the images from the fabulous blog by designer/brand stylist Erica Brechtel of Small Shop. Her sweet pad really caught my eye and I felt it deserved a shout out since the entire space is just darling!

Here are a few more images from her home......

Feeling Blue?

While I simply love all White interiors, my other obsession is with the colour Blue. Now, I must admit even with the holiday season approaching, I was feeling a little blue today (bad weather blues), but after putting together this inspiration board of rich, bright and vibrant blues, turquoise and indigo blues, the phrase 'Feeling Blue' has a very different meaning now.
Hope this turns around those Blue days for you!

What's you're remedy for the bad weather blues?

It's whats inside that counts.... Closets!

Hello all! Its Hump Day and I have been a busy B, space planning and designing our next home. The focus for today was our Master Bedroom closet. It is a generously sized closet and dressing room, however my budget is not seeing things my way. Today's inspiration pages are dedicated to fabulous closet spaces.
Enjoy!

Although I believe it's what's on the inside that counts (in closets too), it doesn't hurt to have good bone structure (giggles).

Phew... Getting closer to the weekend!

" Nothing is Impossible"

" ..... The Word Itself Says I'm Possible" - Audrey Hepburn

My love for Audrey Hepburn and her movies began when I was just a girl of 3 or so and watched My Fair Lady for the first time. As I grew older I watched some of her other greats like Roman Holiday, Breakfast at Tiffany's etc. Now in my later years I've discovered what an inspiration she was not just as a movie and fashion icon but as a woman. Today, I dedicate my new inspiration searches to Audrey, leaving you with a message from this great framed word art below....

MyTufted Love

I am crazy about tufted everything! There is just something about how you feel when you sit in a button tufted chair and surrounded by upholstered tufted interiors.... Feels like heaven, correction the VIP section of Heaven! While finding some great inspirational images for my next project I stumbled upon a brief historical look at tufted furnishings and interiors on the Susan Murray Blog. It was a great read on how this luxury can be applied to create various looks, from a masculine vs. feminine feel to adding that touch of nostalgic elegance to a more contemporary design.
Here are some more inspiring images of tufted elegance and luxury...
